Tim Ryan
Tim began his hospitality career in Las Vegas in 1996 as a busser and barback at a basement jazz bar. Through ambition, hard-work, and a thirst for learning, he rose through every position in a restaurant. Determined to make hospitality his career, in 2001 he became a trainer and opening manager for P.F. Chang’s, where he was captivated by the excitement and joy of opening restaurants. From there, he joined MGM Resorts in 2006 as General Manager of Chef Michael White’s fine-dining Italian restaurant, Fiamma. Tim advanced at MGM Resorts over the next decade to eventually become Corporate Vice President, overseeing all food and beverage operations strategy for MGM Resorts International. In that position, he led the talent and operating strategy for 500 outlets and over $2 billion in annual revenue. His portfolio included a wide range of outlets around the globe, from fast food to Michelin-starred restaurants. In 2019, the Ryans moved to Chicago, where Tim served as COO of Aparium Hotel Group, gaining invaluable experience leading the growth of their independent lifestyle hotels and award-winning restaurant concepts.
A true operator at every level, Tim has opened well over 50 restaurants and bars in addition to 15 hotels and resorts. Tim has an exceptional understanding of every aspect of the restaurant business. Known for his hands-on leadership style, Tim is hardworking, a creative problem-solver, positive, and encouraging — qualities that inspire those who work for and with him. His dream of launching his own restaurant group is now coming to life with EverHaus.
Marisa Ryan
Marisa’s career is rooted in her ability to drive results and develop high-performing teams, both in retail and real estate. During her 15-year retail career, she managed a flagship store in the nation’s highest-grossing mall, overseeing over 100 associates and 10 managers. As she advanced to multi-unit management, Marisa successfully led 15 retail locations across three states, honing her expertise in leadership, workforce management, hiring and training, and customer service. A natural salesperson, Marisa excels at aligning people to a common vision and influencing others to achieve shared goals. In 2016, she pivoted to real estate, earning her license and launching a high-performing real estate team. There, she developed and implemented brand strategy, established operating standards, and recruited top talent while closing over $40 million in annual sales. A galvanizer and visionary, Marisa’s outgoing, engaging, and stylish personality brings a distinctive energy and leadership to EverHaus.
Married in 2009, Marisa and Tim have two teenagers, reside in Lincoln Park, and share a lifelong love of food and entertaining. Originally from Las Vegas, with a couple of adventures along the way—including two years in Vietnam—they eventually made their home in Chicago. They’ve embraced the art of hosting, attending to every detail—from setting gorgeous tables and crafting exceptional cocktails to ensuring every friend feels welcomed and cared for in their home. This passion and dedication now fuel EverHaus, where their complementary strengths support a restaurant group that blends timeless tradition with modern relevance. Guided by hands-on expertise and shared values of hustle, heart, and high standards, the Ryans exemplify the very essence of hospitality.
